As Lares is the Ancient Roman god of the household, we thought this beautiful, much loved old sandstone villa was appropriate for us.

Our design team wanted to keep the bones of the building as authentic as possible, but add a modern aesthetic to the interior design.

The original floor boards have been brilliantly refurbished using a contemporary matt lacquer finish.

Tom Dixon pendants, custom carpet runners and a stunning piece of customized New York marble combine to create a warm, inviting classic/contemporary vibe.

And there’s easy parking out the front, under the gorgeous Plane Trees.
